Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth is committed to enhancing and encouraging the faculty members towards their contribution to research and teaching. The Vidyapeeth is giving incentives to inculcate the scientific temper and Research Culture among the faculty members. The Vidyapeeth had provided various incentives to faculty members for attending workshops/seminars, paper presentations, etc. As decided from the year 2012 onwards, the Vidyapeeth is continuing the Awards for the year 2025 also to the faculty members for encouraging Teaching & Research activities.

  Awards for the Year 2025

The following awards will be given to the faculty members of the Vidyapeeth amongst all the constituent colleges/institutes for the year 2025.

  • 1. Research Award Rs. 50,000/-
  • 2. Dr. P. D. Patil Young Researcher Award Rs. 30,000/-
  • 3. Consistent Performance Award Rs. 30,000/-
  • 4. Innovative Teaching Award Rs. 25,000/-

NOTE: For Innovative Teaching Criteria, the Faculty may be invited for interaction / Presentation in front of the Approval Committee members as and when required.

A committee will scrutinize the applications on the following criteria:

  Criteria for Research Award

All Faculty members holding the post of Lecturer / Assistant Professor & above in constituent colleges/institutes are eligible to apply.

  Criteria for Dr. P. D. Patil Young Researcher Award

All Faculty members working in constituent colleges/institutions under the age of 40 years i.e. born on or after 4th September 1985, are eligible to apply.

Marks Classification: 100 Marks

(a) Number of Publications during the year (Jan 2024 to Dec 2024) 25 marks

(b) Quality of publication
(b1) Number of publications according to Quartile 10 Marks
• Q1 4 Marks
• Q2 3 Marks
• Q3 2 Marks
• Q4 1 Marks
(b2) Highest Impact Factor publication 10 Marks
(c) Extra-mural Research Grant Awarded (During Sep 2024 till Date) 20 Marks
• International Level 12 Marks
• National Level 8 Marks
(Mention grants (amount) sanctioned, received & utilized)
(d) i) Citation index as per Scopus & Web of Science (Overall) 5 Marks
     ii) 'h' index (Overall) Scopus & Web of Science 5 Marks

(e) Significant Relevance of the Research work carried out during the year as reflected in the publications with principal findings. (500 words) 10 Marks
(f) Patents (From Sep 2024 till Date) 15 Marks
(i) Patent or design Published 4 Marks
(ii) Patent Granted 5 Marks
(iii) Technology transfer or start-up 5 Marks
(iv) Copyrights 1 Marks

  Criteria for Consistent Performance Award

All Faculty members holding the post of Lecturer / Assistant Professor & above in constituent colleges/institutions are eligible to apply. Applicant with more than 5 years of service at DPU is eligible for the award.

Marks Classification: 100 Marks

(a) Number of Publications during last five year (2020 to 2024) 25 marks

(b1) Number of publication according to Quartile 10 Marks
• Q1 4 Marks

• State Consultancy 5 Marks (Provided money received at DPU)

(iii) Technology transfer or start-up 5 Marks
(A copy of the company registration is mandatory for start-ups)

  Criteria for Innovative Teaching Award

All the Faculty members holding the post of Lecturer / Assistant Professor & above in constituent colleges/institutions are eligible to apply.

Classification of Marks: 100 Marks

(a) Teaching Experience (1/2 mark/year) with maximum 5 Marks
(b) Innovative and Empowering Pedagogical Practices from Thought to Action (Write-up, Proof and Presentation Mandatory) 30 Marks
(c) Feedback from Students 25 Marks
(d) Extension Work/ member on editorial board/ National board/Reviewer/mass media, etc. 15 Marks
(e) Total number of Publications Jan. 2024 to Dec. 2024 15 Marks
(f) Participation in various activities of the College / Institute / University 10 Marks
* The Vidyapeeth will retrieve the data from the Scopus and Web of Science databases

We are sending herewith the format of applications to be submitted by the faculty members, through the proper channel, separately for the Research Award / Dr. P. D. Patil Young Researcher Award, Consistent Performance Award, and Innovative Teaching Award for the year 2025.

You are requested to give wide publicity to these awards amongst the faculty members of the College/Institute, and forward the applications of faculty members to the Vidyapeeth on or before 31st July, 2025, to enable the Vidyapeeth to scrutinize the same by an external panel at the earliest. No applications will be entertained by the Vidyapeeth after 31st July, 2025.
