*Annual Fees shall be increased by 3% each year.
The Annual Fee is to be paid by the student at the time of Counseling by a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of the Director/Principal of concerned college/institute, payable at Pune. (Note: Annual fees include tuition fees and development fees)
(**) The Institutional category fees will be collected as per US $ rate on the day of admission.
University Eligibility & Registration Fee (One-time Fee)
Fifteen Percent (15%) of the Annual Fee, payable for the first year only, shall be paid by the student separately at the time of filling in the Eligibility Application, as University Eligibility & Registration Fee. This fee shall be paid by a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of “Registrar, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth” payable at Pune. (Note: - The University Eligibility & Registration Fee is non-refundable)
University Examination Fee:-
In addition to the above fees the student shall pay the University Examination Fee as prescribed by the University from time to time. Other conditions and formalities shall be as per the Rules of the Vidyapeeth.

Course Description
M.Sc Nursing Course is designed to assist students in developing expertise and in-depth understanding in the field of nursing education, Medical Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics & Gynecological Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Nursing Management, Advance Nursing Practices, Nursing Education, Nursing Administration, Mental Health & Psychiatric Nursing, Nursing Research & Statistics. It will further enable the student to function as a professional nurse, clinical speciality nurse, and educator, administrator, manager, nursing leader supervisor, evaluator and researcher. It will further enable the students to evaluate research studies and utilize research findings to improve the quality of nursing practice, education, management and administration. It would provide opportunity to PG students to understand, appreciate and acquire skills in teaching and evaluation, curricular development, implementation, maintenance of standards and accreditation of various nursing educational programs to compete with the new challenges and globalization.
This programme prepares nursing graduates who are professionally equipped to deal with day-to-day problems within the existing constraints and thus act as an agent of social change.
Admission Requirements
- The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
- The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of:
- The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution, which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
- Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- The Candidate shall be medically fit.
- 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.
Entrance / Selection Test
Selection of the candidates should be based on the merit of the Entrance examination held by University or competent authority. For the available specialities and number of seats.

Aims
The aim of the postgraduate program in nursing is to prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as nurse specialists, consultants, educators, and administrators in a wide variety of professional settings.
Objectives
On completion of the two year M.Sc. Nursing Programme the graduate will be able to
- Utilize/apply the concepts, theories and principles of nursing science.
- Demonstrate advance competence in the practice of nursing.
- Practice as a nurse specialist.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and function effectively as nurse educator and manager.
- Demonstrate skill in conducting nursing research, interpreting and utilizing the findings from health related research.
- Demonstrate the ability to plan and effect change in nursing practice and in the health care delivery systems.
- Establish collaborative relationship with members of other disciplines.
- Demonstrate the interest in continued learning for personal and professional advancement.
